Alicia Silverstone’s Answer To Texas Beef
I found it delightful to see this short video from Alicia Silverstone today. She is vegan, and this is the ad that is scheduled to be aired in Houston, of all places. Remember the beef people and Oprah? Certainly, this will get their attention - nothing is more controversial than a beautiful woman in the altogether admitting to her lifestyle as a vegan.
Why an article such as this? If going green, one of the biggest things you can do is pursue the vegan lifestyle. The carbon footprint of a cheeseburger is overwhelming. Vegetables (I truly HATE the word veggies!) are grown locally and generally organically. The do not consume feed, need to go to the slaughterhouse, and be transported to restaurants and supermarkets, to then be thrown on someone’s grill to add even more pollution to this tired old planet.
If nudity offends you, don’t watch the vid. It is tastefully done, and I would let my children watch it. It is your choice…
